The Dell Vostro 1014 is one of three entry-level notebooks (Vostro 1014, 1015, and 1088) released in late 2009 for business professionals. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo or Celeron processor, up to 4GB of RAM, and a SATA HDD up to 320GB.

The only differences between all three are that the 1088 hosts an ATI graphics card, whereas the 1015 utilizes a larger display. As an upgrade from weaker predecessor models, the 1014 and its peers offer an improved battery life, enhanced energy consumption with an Energy Star 5.0 certification, and a bevy of color options: black, blue, or deep cherry red. Additional features include a card reader for media flexibility; a cam/mic combo set for online communications; and Gigabit LAN + 802.11b/g WiFi. Note also the FireWire port.
