Denon AVR-A100

$2,499.00 Released January, 2011

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Auto-setup is excellent, balances the speakers and EQ well. Enough power for small to medium sized rooms. Great control of the iPod through the USB port, easy to connect and work with.

The Cons:Doesn't have enough power for larger rooms (no Toroidal transformer), would need an additional amplifier. Some HDMI handshake issues can result in audio dropouts - hopefully fixed in a firmware update. Generates a fair amount of heat, need to keep it well ventilated.

The Denon AVR-A100 is an “Anniversary Product Collection Model” A/V receiver released in early 2011 as a celebration of Denon’s 100-year anniversary. It features AirPlay streaming capabilities, meaning it can stream songs directly from their iTunes library, iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch through a Wi-Fi enabled network.
