The Digital Storm HAF X is a desktop computer geared toward gaming. In order to cater to different price ranges, Digital Storm offers four model variations for every model in this series. The Acer Predator G3 is an entry level gaming desktop. This based model gaming computer from Acer offers second generation Intel Core i5-2300 processor (2.8GHz) as well as Nvidia Geforce GT420 dedicated graphics capable of handling 3D ocntent. Whilst it cannot be considered high-end, both of these mid range components, the Predator G3 provides adequate performance for most modern games. Other features include a 1.5TB hard drive, 8GB of DDR3 memory, and 12 USB ports. At its MSRP, a self-built system with higher performance is certainly possible. Whilst the system looks impressive, it should be questioned whether 8GB of ram or 12 USB ports are excessive, perhaps the system's MSRP could have been reduced. All in all, the Acer Predator G3 is a good option for buyers lookign fro a pre-built, gaming capable desktop computer.

It has many options and upgrades available when ordering it, and comes in three different teirs: Premium Vision, Ultimate Vision and Black Vision. The latter, Black Vision, is the most powerful Studio XPS 7100 version, equipped with AMD's Phenom II X6 six-core processor which allows for the installation of up to 16 GB of DDR3 SDRAM memory. The Studio XPS 7100 is also equipped with dual hard drive bays, which means a maximum of 4 TB of hard drive space, although Dell offers to install only a maximum of 1.5 TB. The 7100 also includes your choice of the Phenom II six-core processor (starting at $699) or the Athlon II quad-core processor (starting at $499).

When building your Studio XPS 7100 you can choose from a range of ATI Radeon HD graphics cards, Windows 7 operating systems, warranty and service options, optical DVD and blue-ray burning drives, speakers, and keyboards and mice. You can also choose to add the Dell 1525 wireless card, Hauppauge HVR 1250 TV tuner, and Dell wireless 365 bluetooth when ordering this computer. Xi3's Z3RO Module is a unique product that functions as an add-on for use specifically with Xi3's Modular Computer. Up to three Z3ROs can be connected to one Modular Computer at once, and each thus acts as a sort of "dumb" computer - it has no processor, RAM, or storage, but uses those of the Modular Computer. In effect, each Z3RO just allows a workstation (with monitor, keyboard, mouse) to run virtually. They have USB and VGA ports as well as audio jacks to connect the necessary peripherals to set up another workstation, but the processor and other components are simply accessed virtually through the main computer. The productivity and processing power of each virtual workstation is of course limited by the specs of the Modular Computer, but for basic productivity needs (web access, email, word processing), even three Z3ROs working off of one computer should run adequately. The main attraction to such a setup is twofold. First, costs may be cut by replacing fullly-functioning desktops with less-expensive modules. Second, overall power consumption is comparatively much lower, since there is only one real desktop in operation.

The eMachines EL1333-11f is a budget desktop computer. One of the manufacturer's less expensive options, it features a small form factor but lower-end performance, utilizing a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon processor and 2GB of DDR2 memory. Like any sub-$300 desktop, the EL1333-11f lacks a discrete graphics chip. A 320GB hard drive is standard. Other features include 5.1-channel audio support and 9 USB ports. More expensive models generally feature faster processors, more memory, and more disk space. Windows 7 Home Premium arrives pre-installed.
