"I got the unit (as I said I would above) and it's very nice. The BMI tracking and the work-outs are genuine. Or at least as genuine as you are willing to not cheat. But the BMI/weight tracking is phenomenal. According to the wii fit, I need to drop ~30lbs to reach 'ideal'. And about 20lbs to drop out of 'overweight' to 'normal'. The unit can install a 'channel' that does the basic weight and body-test without having the DVD in. So that's a big plus."

"The premium for 'thin' is too much. I don't think I'd be happy without my superdrive and firewire. Count me as an Apple fan, but I think that this one misses the mark."

"I've got this unit, and I love it. It lasts forever. I'd like to add though, that this unit the whole 'Genesis _____ A/B/C' line where _____ is gold and silver or whatnot is done with. I think the closest model to this at Weber is now the E-320. I grill year round. I grill so often that I had my house gas line tied to the grill so that I'd never have to deal with filling up 'pig' tanks. (My model is 'natural gas'). I don't know anyone with a Genesis that isn't happy with it."

"It integrates so seemlessly with Mac OSX I'm not sure what else I'd contemplate using for keeping my music library in shape. You can drag drop music files onto it and it imports them. Logical. I love smart playlists. I love syncing to my iPod. I'm not that keen on using it for PDF or movie management. The only thing I can't stand is the goofy xml file it uses to manage the entire thing. It's not easy to hand hack."

"Not a lot of new features, but enough to make me get the family pack (I have 5 laptops in the house). Spaces sounded cooler than it turned out to be for me. I'm used to having multiple desktops in linux, and this isn't quite there in terms of configuration and window management as say gnome or kde. I will say that the parental controls are absolutely amazing. You can create an access list or a deny list (for my daughter I'm using an access list so I have to specify the sites she can visit explicitly). It also keeps track of how long she's on and will log her off (after several minutes and several warnings) automatically when she's used up the time I specified in a given day. It logs. It logs a log. It logs about darn near everything. All chats. All sites visited, and the amount of time at each site."
