DJ Hero is a music video game developed by FreeStyleGames and published by Activision as an expansion of its Guitar Hero series. Gameplay is similar to that of Guitar Hero but uses a plastic Turntable controller rather than plastic instruments. The controler consists of a movable Turntable with 3 stream buttons, an effects dial, a crossfader and a "Euphoria" button for gameplay and a hidden panel with additional buttons for use outside the game. A portion of the control can be removed and reattached for left handed players. Gameplay involves notes on three streams coming to towards players in an arc spinning towards players on the screen, which are reflected by the three buttons on the turntable, and represent the two songs being mixed and samples being added to the song. The crossfader is used to match on screen symbols and scratching requires players to turn the Turntable as prompted on screen. The "Euphoria" button is DJ Hero's equivalent to Guitar Hero's Star Power which doubles the score multiplier.
