Doritos Sweet Chili Heat!

I wish Doritos were banned from the Universe.

Doritos are good. But only the original.

I am dating a chick from Ontario and one of the best things about visiting her is the Sweet Chili Heat Doritos! It mildly offsets the fact that everything in Canada is overpriced. Especially chicken at the grocery store, books and beer. Not to mention their taxes are disgusting. And to revisit the beer thing; Canadians have been brainwashed, there isn't a decent beer made in Canada, and if there was, I'd probably never taste it because it would cost $50 CAD for a two-four. That country needs to check themselves.

Well, Omar. I can only respond by saying I've spent time in Waterloo as my girlfriend used to live there on Davenport across from The Keg on Northfeild. She too is a U of Waterloo alum (BA & MA). I can only say that you must be upset because you know I'm right. There isn't one thing in my last post that isn't 100% correct. Although I will say this about Canada, and Waterloo in particular. The Ben Thanh's Viet-Thai place in Waterloo on Northfeild has the best Red Thai chicken curry in the universe. If you haven't eaten there and still live in Waterloo, I suggest you run, don't walk, to go try their food. Their London locations aren't nearly as good though.

Just make sure you get the sticky rice along with it. And their Mango flavoured frozen drink really balances out the red curry.

I have to say that it's just unfortunate that those poor Americans can't have these things. I HATE Doritos, and, CAN have just NONE. Until, that is, I tried these. Absolutely love em! They're not incendiary and that's just fine with me.

I think Doritos has Cool Ranch and Nacho Cheese as baked flavours. They're offered in both types - regular and baked. The Doritos bag is marked with a big Baked! at the top, otherwise I don't think they're baked.

Sad news today, Sweet Chili heat is no longer produced. I am out the door to stock up!

Gotta admit - I hated the Sweet Chili Doritoes, and I really like most flavours of them. The sucralose thing really turned me off... weird artificial sweet taste and not enough spice.

Both Canada and the U.S. have some amazing microbreweries doing some incredible work. I don't know how much experience you have with Canadian brewers - or beer in general, but I've had over 300 different beers at least with a good split between Europe, Canada and the States (and other areas in there too here and there). Unibroue (http://www.unibroue.com/english.cfm) makes some of the best beers I've ever had, and many other Canadian beers are worth mentioned: Steamwhistle Pilsner, most of the Mill st. brews, Granite Brewery has an excellent line, Amsterdam Blonde, McAuslan's Apricot Wheat Ale, KLB's raspberry wheat ale, Denisson's (sp?)... and the list can go on... but this is offtopic so I'll leave it at that.

Sweet Chili Heat is definately not discontinued. In fact, in Canada it is the 2nd best Doritos flavour, besides Doritos Nacho. The origins of this flavour lye in the UK, where they are called Doritos Chili Heatwave. The UK initially launched this flavour, and because of its success, was brought over to Canada as Sweet Chili Heat.

Yeah I completely agree. It would certainly make it an even more enjoyable experience. Adding a little heat might also stop people from bulldozing these things into them too.
