Dr. Phil commented on Sharp AQUOS LC-37D64U

September 9, 2008 at 11:37 am

"I went out and looked at a bunch of TVs and got so over loaded with info. I decided to look at technical reviews.
I needed a 37" TV and found that A plasma 37" would not give a true HDTV because of plasma limitations.
In looking at LCDs I found that many brands have issues with the technology. Three of the sites I looked at recommended Panasonic, Sharp, or Sony as reliable brands. The articles were also very direct about staying away from Korean made TVs such as Samsung.
Anyway, I got this cotton picker all hooked up and when I turned it on all I could say was "WOW".
The colors were very crisp and clean. With the 1920x1080 resolution I felt like I could reach out and grab the image.
The picture on this unit is just amazing. I turned on Indy racing and football in HD and was very impressed. Everything in the picture seemed to have a natural flow with none of the jumping or flashing I have seen in some other units. I found that this was due to the very fast 4ms response time of this TV.
Another thing that impressed me was the sound quality of this TV. I had read negative reviews of other TVs in reference to the sound, but this TV had none of those problems.
If you are looking for a great looking, reliable HDTV at a good price than you can not do better than this little cotton picker.
The only issue I had with this thing was the set up. Being fat dumb and dumber it took me a while to get it done, but after it was all said and done it was well worth it.
I am going to buy another HDTV and you can bet I will be buying another Sharp Aquos TV. If this thing ain't 5 star, I don't know what is."
