"hey i had a friend of mine work a little magic on my dell with vista and after about 1 hour he had the whole thing up and functioning perfect, ill post later with him writing so he can tell you all how he did it, im surprised he got it to work but it works more

Thanks for posting about the Tascam Vista issue, drummer342. This has been a long-standing issue for a while now, and I'm sure a ton of people will appreciate your solution if you post it.
