The HHX Manhattan Jazz Crash 18" is a darker crash cymbal that lies in Sabian's HHX line of modern cymbals. It is targeted towards jazz drummers who are looking for a wider array of sounds versus power crashes. The larger 18" size gives it a slightly lower pitch and makes it a good candidate to be used as a crash/ride hybrid when going for a more dirty sound. However, because of its thinness and construction, it is still a quite capable explosive crash cymbal.
