Eero Aarnio Hanging Bubble Chair

The hanging bubble chair is an adaptation of the original earth-bound bubble chair www.inmod.com (or ball chair as it's sometimes known). The chair is made from high density acrylic with a seated cushion interior. It is suspended from the ceiling with a stainless steel chain, making quite the impression in any room.

Details

The unique round interior is an excellent way to listen to music as it encompasses the sitter in a way that shield them from surrounding noise, creating a mini dome-like effect. People enjoy the feeling of being suspended in air when sitting in this chair. This chair has been featured in numerous films and its iconic place in history is well-known.

When looking from a bubble you should make sure the ring is a continuous welded ring and that the bubble is blow out to a wider dimention than the steel ring. You do not want a bolted together ring as most of the Chinese bubble chairs have. In addition the chairs coming out of china are mostly sold with pictures stolen from Inmod.com or eero aarnio, and do not look much like the product you will receive. Don't be fooled by the chinese knock off bubble. You will not be happy with it, they are made with the wrong curvature of the acrylic and are not comfortable to sit in. Keep in mind... you get what you pay for..
