Described by John Lennon as his "dream guitar", the 1958 Rickenbacker 325 is one of the most famous guitars of all time. Acquired by Lennon in Hamburg in 1960, the 325 became his #1 instrument for many years to come and is most notably seen in the Beatles' performances on The Ed Sullivan Show.

The Rickenbacker 325C58 is an exact replica of the 1958 model played by Lennon down to the last detail including its gold nameplate and pickguard, gold-on-brown knobs, an elongated jack plate, and Kauffman Vibrola (which he later replaced with a more reliable Bigsby, as seen in photo). The 325C58's three Vintage Single Coil Toaster Top pickups, semi-hollow alder body, alder neck and rosewood fret-board make this guitar a dream to play with a sound to match. The Les Paul Custom is high-end electric guitar from Gibson. This product is based on the original 1954 Custom, but has several modern upgrades. The body is constructed of a hard carved maple top, which is fitted to a solid mahogany body. This modernized version of the Custom has a reduced overall weight, thanks to holes routed throughout the guitar. This design choice also enhances acoustic and resonance qualities. Epiphone's 1959 Les Paul Standard is a limited-edition electric guitar designed to imitate the 1959 sunburst version of the Les Paul. The body is constructed of mahogany with a rock maple top, and comes in two faded burst color patterns. Fender Eric Clapton "Blackie" Stratocaster

Based on the most famous and most expensive guitar in the world, the Fender Custom Shop Eric Clapton Blackie Stratocaster is literally an exact copy of Claptons classic guitar. In 1970, Clapton came across a store selling Fender Telecasters and Stratocasters for a mere $100, so he bought six, giving three to George Harrison, Pete Townsend and Steve Winwood. After playing his remaining three, he decided to make himself the ultimate guitar by taking his favorite parts from each ('56 black alder body, '57 maple neck, etc..) and giving the resulting guitar the nickname "Blackie". Blackie soon became his #1 from 1973 to 1985 and unsurprisingly, began to show large amounts of wear and although its electronics were fit, it was retired before it completely fell apart. Around this time, Fender approached Clapton and designed a brand new Eric Clapton Signature series guitar, which he began to play exclusively. in 2004, Eric Clapton sold his original "Blackie" to California-based Guitar Center Inc. for a record breaking $959,500.

Soon after the sale of the original Blackie, Fender was commissioned to make an exact replica of the worlds most famous guitar. Unlike the Eric Clapton Signature guitar made previous, this guitar would not only use the same parts as Blackie, it would recreate every flaw, nick and sign of wear and be produced in a very limited number. Painstakingly hand crafted, each replica exactly mirrors the necks wear, cigarette burns on the headstock, aged hardware right down do the flaking black paint, which is inked in with pen just like the original. Clapton himself approved the first prototype, using it for 3 songs at London's Royal Albert Hall on May 17, 2006. On November 24, 2006, along with a replicated "Duck Brothers" flight case for each, 275 Tribute Series Blackies were made and were listed at a suggested price of $24,000, and not surprisingly, all the replicas of the worlds most famous guitar are reported to have sold out. Fender Tribute Series has also made replicas of Muddy Water's Telecaster, Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock Stratocaster, Stevie Ray Vaughn's #1 and Jeff Beck's Esquire.

Simply put, the Fender Stratocaster is THE electric guitar. Ask anyone to draw an electric guitar, and chances are they will draw the classic Strat shape, which has been stolen and copied by so many companies, the term "strat-copy" appears in Wikipedia. Designed in the early 1950s by Leo Fender and Freddie Tavares, the Stratocaster has become one of the worlds most enduring guitar models, along with it sister model Telecaster, and the Gibson Les Paul. Going against typical guitar construction at the time, Fender decided to make the body out of more expensive ash wood, and design an all new vibrato unit rather than using the typical Bigsby. Fender also gave the guitars body a more contoured shape than the Telecaster making it more comfortable to play. The new 'Custom Contour Body' and 'Synchronized Tremolo' bridge made the Stratocaster a revolutionary design. The electronics were also much more complicated than the Telecaster, featuring 3 very compact pickups,a 3-way switch (replaced by the current 5-way switch in 1977), and volume control and two tone controls. Released at a price of US$249.50 (approximately US$1,850 in 2007 currency) in 1954, the Strat was soon popularized by rock legend Buddy Holly and hasn't looked back since being solidified in rock history by legends Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. The beauty of the American Stratocaster guitar is in its details incorporating several simple player-friendly refinements into the timeless design of the Strat guitar giving the ultimate fusion of tone and playability.

Epiphone John Lennon 1965 and Revoultion Casino(s)

The Epiphone Casino has the same basic body shape and dimensions as Gibsons very popular ES-335, as well as the Epiphone Riviera and the Epiphone Sheraton. However, unlike the ES-335, the Casino does not have a solid wood block though its center, making this a full hollow body guitar. Older models of the Casino, like that played by Lennon on the Let It Be rooftop performance, feature a headstock at 17-degrees rather than 14-degrees and join the body at the 16th rather than the 17th fret providing more string tension, which when combined with its ultra-thin hollow body, give the unique sound made famous by Lennon. Lennon's casino originally had a sunburst finish, which he painted over in psychedelic colours and eventually stripped it down to its wood, which is how it is famously remembered. In 1997, Lennon's Casino was measured by a group of Epiphone professionals with permission from Yoko Ono.

Modern Casinos feature a pick guard and come in a variety of colours.

The Gibson Custom Slash "Appetite for Destruction" Les Paul is a guitar based on an original 1958-’60 Les Paul Standard and built to the specifications of Slash himself. It is available in limited numbers, with 100 guitars hand-aged and signed by Slash himself. The maple top comes with a nitrocellulose Butterscotch finish to give it a classic look, and the Grade A mahogany neck is cut in a slim 1960's style profile making it easy to work with. The Rosewood fingerboard is cut in a 12 inch radius, and features mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays. Medium sized frets are used to help bending notes over the pickups. Slash specifically requested Seymour Duncan Signature Series Alnico II Pro humbucking pickups to add extra punch to the sound. The Gibson 1960 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty is a custom guitar based on the 1960 model. A solid mahogany body is used to blend depth, warmth, and resonance with improved clarity and sustain. The body design has a gently arched carved top and rounded lower bout, and is finished in a glossy ebony. The solid mahogany neck is connected to the headstock at a 17 degree angle, allowing for a more secure attachment to the nut for each string and a much tighter tension. The tuners are gold-plated kidney button Grover Rotomatics, selected for authenticity. The ebony fingerboard is hard-wearing, and tonally the material is used for clarity and definition. Block inlays of mother-of-pearl are positioned between the 22 frets. BurstBucker humbucking pickups at the neck and bridge have individual volume and tone controls, and are left unpolished to allow for some edge in the sound.

The Fender Jim Adkins JA-90 Telecaster Thinline is a guitar built to Adkins specifications to create the Jimmy Eat World sound. It uses a Seymour Duncan Vintage pickup at the neck and a SP90-3B Custom P-90 pickup at the bridge. This combination can be fine tuned with separate volume and tone control knobs for each and a 3-position toggle switch. The sound is completed with an Adjusto-Matic bridge with anchored tailpiece.

The body is built with a semi-hollow ash to give it a more resonant sound, and the mahogany neck is in a modern C shape with a matching painted headstock. The guitar has 22 medium jumbo frets and chrome hardware, with the Jim Adkins signature on the back of the headstock.

As the godfather of Heavy Metal, it only seems fitting that there is a Tony Iommi signature SG. Only available in an ebony finish, the Iommi SG is as mean looking as it is souding. The Gibson Custom ES-339 is a custom guitar built for versatility. It combines a hollow maple body with a solid maple centerblock to create a warm sound that still has bite. This hybrid design is based on the Gibson Custom ES-335, but is reduced in size to match the average electric guitar. Classic features still remain, from the cutaway f-holes in the front to the quarter-sawn mahogany neck. As with most Gibson Custom guitars, the headstock is set at a 17-degree back-angle which contributes to the instrument’s resonance and sustain by keeping the strings tight and secure. The pickups are 57 Classic, which create a blend of warmth, richness and clarity in the sound. The Nashville Tone Circuit is used with CTS potentiometers to maintain highs even as the volume is rolled down. There are independent volume and tone controls for each pickup, as well as a 3-way Switchcraft toggle for quick switching.

The Rickenbacker 360/12C63 is an exact replica of the 1963 version of the 360/12 played by Harrison. Received as a graduation gift from his parents, the guitar was lost to him for years after being stolen. A fan discovered it in a Texas pawn shop and arranged it's return. The Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard is a custom guitar based on the original 1959 design. It is aimed at guitar enthusiasts and built to create a unique tonal quality. The 22 jumbo frets are one of the features that made this guitar unique in 1959, and a rosewood fingerboard is used for simple durability and depth of sound. Maple is used for the top of the body which gives it good clarity, definition and treble bite. This is bonded to a non-chambered mahogany body which gives the sound depth and richness. The BurstBucker humbucking pickups at the neck and bridge are tuned to reduce noise, but not give a completely clean sound in order to offer a little edge. Independent knobs are available for each pickup to control volume and tone. It comes in Heritage Cherry Sunburst or Heritage Dark Sunburst finishes on the front, and a light vintage-mahogany finish on the back. As an added visual effect acrylic trapezoid position-marker inlays are used on the neck.

The Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster is a mid-priced update of the classic 1960s Fender Jazzmaster. One of the key updated features is the pickups. Fender emphasizes the fact that the two Special Design Hot Jazzmaster single coil pickups on the Classic Player are hotter than the pickups in previous Jazzmaster models. The guitar features Gibson's '57 Classic humbucking pickups, which eliminate the hum that occurs in open coil pickups. The '57 Classic pickup at the neck provides a warm, subtle and full tone with good response. The '57 Classic Plus pickup near the bridge is made to replicate Gibson PAF humbuckers of the fifties. This pickup combo gives a rich, vintage tone, along with a high output. Both '57 humbuckers have Gibson's special Alnico II magnet, vintage enamel coated wire, nickel-plated pole pieces, maple spacers, nickel slugs, and vintage-style, braided wiring. Using Les Paul's 4-conductor pickup wiring, Epiphone added 2 push/pull tone pots to allow for series/parallel pickup switching. This guitar features a solid mahogany back, a carved maple top, and a solid, one-piece, mahogany neck. The SlimTaper neck is "D" shaped and more bend-friendly. The Gibson Custom Joe Perry Boneyard Les Paul is an electric guitar built for rock enthusiasts, especially Aerosmith fans. The maple top is carved and highly figured, coated by a "Green Tiger" nitrocellulose lacquer that dries thin to allow for a better tone, and brings out the depth and detail of the maple. The guitar also features vintage cream binding, aged nickel hardware, and Kluson-style tulip-button tuners to give the look of a real vintage electric guitar. The headstock says "Boneyard" in mother-of-pearl, and the truss rod cover is engraved with Joe Perry's signature. There is also a Tune-o-matic bridge and a stopbar tailpiece for enhanced sustain. Some changes from the original Fender American Special Stratocaster include a 9.5 in radius neck with rosewood detailing, and a reconfigured pickup set that includes two Texas Special pickups and an Atomic humbucking pickup in the bridge.

In other ways it remains very similar to the original Fender American Special Stratocaster, using a vintage-style synchronized tremolo and Greasebucket tone circuit to give it a signature sound. The Standard Stratocaster HSS is an electric guitar from Fender, released in November 2008. This reproduction guitar offers the characteristic Stratocaster tone and the original Stratocaster body design. The key difference between the Standard Stratocaster and the specialized HSS model relates to the pickups: the HSS model offers a humbucking pickup configuration, whereas the regular model offers thee single-coil pickups instead. The Gibson Joan Jett Blackheart is a guitar based on Joan Jett's original Gibson, but with several upgrades. The body is made of solid mahogany to blend resonance with better clarity, and it is finished in a satin ebony black nitrocellulose finish. The neck is a quarter-sawn solid mahogany, and features an ebony fingerboard for durability and clarity. It should be noted, however, that a single pickup is used at the bridge rather than the standard two at bridge and neck. The zebra-coil BurstBucker 3 pickup is used as an accurate PAF humbucker reproduction to re-create the sound of the original guitar, and uses an unpolished Alnico-II magnet with enamel-coated wire just like the originals. The Fender Lee Ranaldo is a high-end Jazzmaster customized with the specs of Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo. Like fellow Sonic Youth member Thurston Moore's custom Jazzmaster, Fender is promoting the Lee Ranaldo model as a stripped-down and grungy offering. As opposed to the Seymour Duncan pickups of the Thurston Moore model, the Lee Ranaldo has two Fender Wide Range humbucking pickups that are re-voiced to original vintage specs, so that this Jazzmaster will sound like Jazzmasters did in their 1960s heyday. The Lee Ranaldo model also differs from the Thurston Moore in bridge. While the Thurston Moore model has an Adjusto-Matic bridge that emphasizes easy access to adjustment, the Lee Ranaldo model has a Mustang bridge, which emphasizes tuning stability. However, both of these custom models have a tremolo lock button to help with tuning, as well as a single master volume control, 3-position toggle switch for the pickups and 21-fret design.

The Gibson Custom Les Paul Ultima is a guitar that features high quality craftsmanship and tone. GIbson calls this guitar the "Ultimate" Les Paul. It comes in either a quilted or flame-Maple top, along with your choice of three very detailed inlays, which include the Tree of Life, Flame, or Harp. The headstock also has a "Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop" inlay design. The guitar features a maple top, mahogany back, one piece mahogany neck, and a 22" ebony fretboard. The nitrocellulose finish requires extensive man hours due to several coats of paint that need to be applied and given time to dry. The Ultima has gold hardware, '57 PAF Classic Plus pickups, an LP stop tailpiece, and is chambered for better sustain and a lighter weight. The nitrocellulose coat is better than polyurethane is it dries thinner and allows more vibration, giving a better tone. All of the VOS (Vintage Original Spec.) series guitars go through a long wet-sanding, rubbing and staining process that is meant to add to the high-quality of the body, tone, and overall vintage look of the guitar.
