The eMachines EZ1601-01 is an all-in-one desktop featuring a PC, an 18.5” widescreen monitor, a keyboard, and an optical mouse. The PC uses an Intel Atom N270 processor (1.6GHz) with 1 Gig of DDR2 memory to fuel high-performance applications, games, and content-streaming. Plus, it comes equipped with Windows XP Home Edition and a plethora of basic-level software for a quick and easy startup. Once powered, users can immediately connect the desktop to the Internet via Gigabit LAN or an integrated 802.11b/g wireless modem and start surfing the web, checking email, or downloading content. Keep in mind that eMachines desktops typically have a lifespan of only 2 years. Although this unit is affordable and hosts a decent array of specs, it is NOT an optimal choice for serious users seeking a long-term and upgradeable option.
