Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 6500 UB
First spotted in early September 2008 at CEDIA, the PowerLite Home Cinema 6500 UB is a high end high definition projector by Epson designed for home theaters. Featuring 3LCD display technology, a 200W E-TORL lamp, a Silicon Optix Reon-X video processor and a brightness rating of 1600 ANSI lumens, the 6500 UB can display a full 1080p resolution (1920 x 1280) at a quiet 22dB. While its performance has been said to be very similar to the more expensive 7500 UB, the 6500 UB does not come with a second bulb or stand. Available in time for the holidays, the price of the Home Cinema 6500 UB slipped to $3000 in early January 2009.
