The Epson CX8400 is a mid-range inkjet all-in-one machine.  Print speeds are fast, ranging up to 32 pages per minute.  Colour resolution is high, rated at 5760x1440 dpi.  Epson's DURAbrite ink is fade, smudge, and water-resistant, so documents and photos can be handled directly after printing is finished.  The flatbed platen is letter-sized and has a hardware resolution of 1200x2400 dpi.  PC-free photo printing is supported, using PictBridge-compatible devices and all major flash-memory card types.  A 2.5" LCD viewing screen is included for previewing direct-to-printer images.  Printing utilizes a four-cartridge system, with one black and three individual colour cartridges.  A high-capacity black cartridge is available as well.
