The Etymotic Research etyBLU is a dual-mode noise-isolating Bluetooth headset that falls in the middle of those offered by Etymotic Research. The etyBLU contains two microphones; a noise-canclling mic near the ear piece, and the other on a BLUEmaxx quick-connect boom to capture your voice. The combination of these two microphone gives exceptional sound quality on both sides of the conversation, and the included windscreen helps cuz out wind noise when using outside. The device weighs less than 0.5 oz and comes with an earloop and an assorment of eartips to ensure a snug and comfortable fit. Also included is a filter changing tool with replacement filter and storage case. The battery gives up to 7 hours of talk time or 100 hours standby, and can be charged with the included USB charging cable.

- Small, fits well, barely noticeable in ear. Decent volume on incoming calls.

- I can hear well but the receiving party cannot. Not worth the money.
- NON-replaceable battery. MAX of 400 charges then it's dead and worthless.

- slick design
- quality manufacturer
- built-in noise canceling - a specialty of Etymotic
- can work without the boom mic
- good battery life
- great sound quality
- excellent performance in high wind or other noisy environments
Cons
- long boom mic - not compact or aesthetically pleasing
- fit may be an issue for some users
- poor range - gets staticy with very little distance between earpiece and phone
- pricey
- uses a proprietary USB cable
