The Flip Ultra HD is a small and easy to use camcorder offered by Flip Video that is able to record 720p (1280x720) HD video. This is an upgrade from the Flip Ultra which only shoots in 640x480 VGA video. Shooting video and transfering to a computer or uploading to sites such as YouTube is made extremely simple thanks to its basic design, included software and trademark flip out USB connector. The camera itself weighs 6.1 ounces, is only 4.25" x 2.19" x 1.17" and there is a large 2 inch TFT LCD screen on the rear for easy viewing, even in bright daylight. It is capable of recording up to 120 minutes with 8 GB of internal memory. It is powered by a rechargeable AA battery pack for 2.5 hours of shooting, and it can be charged with the flip out USB stick or with a power adapter. It can also be powered by standard AA batteries if needed. Other notable features include HDMI output and built in speakers and microphone.
