Can I get a hellz-ya?!

It seems so obvious to me now that I've had time to digest the previous day's epiphany (pun fully intended).  Both food-stuffs act as the base constituent of many dishes and plates of deliciousness.

There are many forms of iced-cream such as chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, mint chocolate chip, rocky road, neopolitan (anybody know where this name came from?), caramel, cookies and cream.  On the pasta side you have fetuccini, lasagna, spaghetti, spaghettini, penne, risotto, definitely not as exciting as the variety of ice creams, but you get the point.

Then you look at how the things are used.  With pasta you're mixing in a lot of vegetables, meats, and coating it all with thick and creamy sauces, throw in some spices, a little dash of oregano yum yum.  With ice cream it's a no-brainer, you got your chocolate brownie chunks, chocolate chips, succulent fruits from all across the globe, topped off with some chocolate sauce, maybe some caramel, or it could just be some whipped creamy goodness, and garnish it with some sugary sprinkles or sweet powder.

Now here are some pictures of mouthwatering delicious gluttony.

Let's Pasta!

Oh, and don't even get me started on ice-cream sandwiches, also known as Prometheus' gift to humanity.

Hey, maybe you can take your analogy more literally. What about rocky road alfredo? Or maybe vanilla gorgonzola?
