Forza Motorsport 3 is a racing video game in development for Xbox 360, expected to release in October 2009. Turn 10 Studios, the developer of all three installments of the Forza Motorsport series, promises 400 cars and over 100 tracks, and is aiming for maximum realism with advanced graphics, physics, artificial intelligence, and damage calculations. But gameplay assists like auto-braking, rewind, and auto-tuning aim to also satisfy casual players seeking a more 'arcadey' experience. Graphical improvements over its prequel include ten times the number of polygons in each car model, and refined textures.

- Gorgeous graphics (significant upgrade over Forza 2)
- improved damage physics, cars can roll over now
- built-in replay video editor and uploading to the net
- improved physics simulation - including tire deformation
- tons of content - cars, and tracks
- more accessible gameplay options such as one-button driving and rewind
- refined livery editor for custom paint jobs
- buy and sell EVERYTHING including tuning jobs
- vastly improved storefront interfaces makes buying and selling custom items much simpler
- matchmaking-based multiplayer system
- tons of customizations for different kinds of online games
- handling is the most realistic ever on a console

- rewind doesn't work at the beginning and end of races for some reason
- loading times are just long enough to be somewhat annoying

- cockpit view works surprisingly well
- AI reacts realistically to what's going on the track
- you can tweak seat placement in cockpit view through manipulating the multi-monitor FOV settings
- works extremely well with the standard MS Wheel

- rewind doesn't work at the beginning and end of races for some reason
- loading times are just long enough to be somewhat annoying
- force-feedback on the wheel isn't as strong as in other games
- medium is too easy, and hard seems too hard
- no system link option
- uploaded photos have a lot of compression which reduces image quality noticeably
- can't tune your cars while in online lobbies
- can't navigate menus with second controller which makes it annoying for people using a wheel
- upgrade parts are extremely expensive
