The Friedrich SS08L10 is an ENERGY STAR qualified window air-conditioner designed for rooms between 250 and 1500 square feet. Weighing at 108 pounds, the relatively lightweight Friedrich SS08L10 is an affordable and weaker counterpart to the bulky and powerful Friedrich SM & SL series in that it only outputs 8,400 BTU (versus 15,000+). Like its peers, the SS08L10 features unique ComfortWatch technology that works to maintain a more even temperature by monitoring and anticipating fluctuations in room temperature. Plus, the SS08L10 boasts a mosquito trap, Entrygard protection that secure the chassis to the sleeve, and a 24-hour timer that lets the user program on/off times while also backing-up the settings in case of a power interruption. The SS08L10 also includes fresh-air intake & stale-air exhaust valves, an easy-to-clean antimicrobial filter for protection against bacterial growth, 8-way air flow control, and a remote control for convenient/simplified adjustments to the unit from a distance. The Friedrich SS08L10 retails for $799.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
