The FujiFilm FinePix AV100 is one of two entry-level digital cameras (AV100, AX200) released in early 2010. It features a 12.2MP CCD sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, and a 2.7” LCD monitor. It can handle still images up to 4000x3000 pixels, but is restricted to 720p movie recording. The AV100’s most debilitating feature, or lack there-of, is its reliance on conventional AA batteries, which translates to more costs. . Included also is a an NTSC/PAL video output for transmitting content to an analog television set, although an optional FujiFilm HD Player (HDP-L1) can be purchased and then used to watch recorded content on an HDTV set.
