The FujiFilm FinePix JX250 is one of four compact digital cameras (JV100, JX250, JZ300, JZ500) released in early 2010. The JX250 is the younger sibling to the JZ500. It hosts a weaker 5x wide-angle optical zoom lens, but it does feature its peer’s 2.7” LCD display, 14MP CCD sensor, and SD/SDHC memory expansion options.

Signature to the JX250 is that it supports 720p video recording with monaural audio, as well as high-quality still shots up to 4288x3216 pixels. Included also is a an NTSC/PAL video output for transmitting content to an analog television set, although an optional FujiFilm HD Player (HDP-L1) can be purchased and then used to watch recorded content on an HDTV set.

Additional Information

Additional features include Tracking Auto Focus for automatically tracking a moving subject; automatic Smile & Blink Detection, which only takes a photo when the subject smiles; and Digital Image Stabilization for reduced image blurring.
