Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1
The FinePix REAL 3D W1 is the world's first 3D camera, released by Fujifilm alongside a 3D photo viewer in fall 2009. The first-generation, point-and-shoot device achieves a stereoscopic effect without the need for glasses using dual lenses and twin 10MP CCD sensors, creating the appearance of a 3D image by layering two 2D images together. The 3D photographs can be viewed on the 2.8" 3D LCD screen or wirelessly transmitted to the optional 3D photo viewer. The W1 also shoots video in 3D, as well as 2D video and stills, and includes advanced 3D image modes for macro, landscape, and interval photography, as well as standard 2D/3D scene presets.

Pros
- good build quality
- dual CCD sensors allow for recording 3D video and images
- possibly the first of a revolutionary step in photography
- MPO format is actually just two JPGs merged together into one file - easily convertible
- create great 3D images / video if you know what you're doing
- familiar Fujifilm user interface like Fujifilm F-series cameras
- Uses CIPA standard and well documented MPO format (CIPA DC-007-2009)
- Excellent free software available to manipulate stereo images and convert to other formats (StereoPhoto Maker)
- Lenticular screen makes it easy to view stereo images without special glasses
- Twin camera design makes it possible to take two pictures at different zoom settings at the same time.
Cons
- high price
- lower resolution video (640x480px)
- Stereo only works in landscape

Cons
- high price
- lower resolution video (640x480px)
- poor user interface / menu system
- utilizes an unknown and unsupported closed MPO format for 3D images - only viewable in one device to date (V1 photo frame)
- 3D effects require special equipment / knowledge to manipulate and view
- all the pitfalls of a first generation product - expensive, poorly implemented, not widely supported
- images and video are very noisy
- lenticular screen makes viewers nauseous
