The Nuvi 765T is part of the high-end Nuvi GPS series released by Garmin in late 2008. While similar to 2007’s Nuvi 700-series, the 765T expands upon its predecessors by adding free (ad supported) lifetime traffic updates. This device is nearly identical to the less expensive Nuvi 755T, except for the addition of hands-free Bluetooth connectivity for compatible mobile phones. Another new feature in the Nuvi 765T is lane-assist view, which shows the correct lane one should be in as the vehicle approaches an exit. The device’s 2D and 3D mapping system is complimented by a 3D building view mode, allowing motorists navigate with greater ease. Compared to the earlier 700-series, the Nuvi 765T also features faster satellite communication and photo navigation, so one can use landmarks for added confidence when navigating. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery should suffice for the average trip, lasting approximately 5 hours.
