The Garmin Oregon 300 is a WAAS-enabled touchscreen GPS receiver that comes with a built-in basemap and picture viewer. A MicroSD card slot is located in its waterproof battery compartment which can accept preprogrammed MapSource cards containing terrain, water, and street maps. Select topographic maps utilitze the Oregon's 3-D map view and BlueChart g2 Vision provides contours, harbors, and navaids for water travel. Other key features include an electronic compass, barometric altimeter, HotFix satellite prediction and support for direct downloading of Geocaching.com GPX files straight to the unit. You can also wirelessly share geocaches, routes, waypoints and tracks with other Garmin Oregon and Colorado users.
