This is a netbook for a specific crowd... It's not for everybody. If you need something easy to use, go for the Eee. If you need good battery life, get an Atom or ARM-powered netbook. This one is a little more punch if the Atom/XP configuration doesn't quite do it for you, but still priced cheap enough to be affordable. 

"A little more punch" is exactly what I mean, though: most 3D titles run at 12fps or worse on Vista Basic, HD Video or Full-screen video chokes on it (there's just not enough video memory for things like that), and the Athlon 64 is single-core, but the installed OS is 32-bit (probably to squeeze a little more memory out of the 2GB included... not an unwise move on Acer's part, but not many ULV processors are 32bit anymore.)  This is by no means a "desktop replacement": it will be slower than your dual core PC no matter how you cut it.

Also, this is Vista Basic: you won't get Windows 7 for free on Oct. 22nd... Win 7 may boost memory availability and slightly improve video over Vista Basic, but you'll need to procure it for yourself.

Regardless, I totally agree with the Pros.  Clearest screen I've seen in a netbook yet, sparse keyboard to accomodate even my larger hands, generous HDD, and I have yet to see it crash on her own power  (Of course I've crashed her, but I was doing file intensive stuff and deserved it)...
