The Pros:Excellent multi-purpose laptop - video streaming, word processing, image/video editing and general internet browsing are all available in a reliable multi-tasking environment. Turion Ultra II processor is excellent for PC gaming - capable of running DirectX 9 titles at full resolution. Built-in speakers provide excellent audio playback - sound is punchy and well-balanced with considerable volume range.
The Cons:Unit tends to run fairly hot during CPU-intensive activities - not recommended for literal "lap-top" use. Touch pad is very sensitive - many users have a difficult time adjusting response level through software controls.
The NV5387u is a multimedia notebook from Gateway's mid-range NV53 Series. Like the other models in the series, the laptop features a 15.6" HD widescreen UltraBright LED-backlit display with a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

It comes equipped with 4GB of DDR2 memory, 320GB hard drive, and is an upgrade to the NV5362u since it has a faster 2.4GHz AMD Turion II Ultra Dual-Core processor. The laptop also includes a DVD SuperMulti drive, webcam, and ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics. The NV5387u is designed with a honeycomb case pattern and a Coffee Brown lid and has a full-size keyboard, making it comfortable to type on for long periods. It also includes WiFi and ethernet connectivity, a card reader, 4 USB ports, and an HDMI port. The laptop operates on Windows 7 Home Premium and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
