GE Digital Converter 22730
The GE 22730 is a DTV converter that allows analog TVs to watch digital channels. On February 17th, 2009, all TV in the U.S. goes digital-only, at which point anyone who has an analog TV and receives TV through an antennae wil require a DTV converter to continue to watch broadcast TV. The GE 22730 is eligible for a $40 government coupon, and includes a remote. It cannot interface with a GE Smart Antennae (sold separately) to lock in the best signal possible, however the GE Digital Converter 22729 does have this feature for $10 more.
