The GE X3 is a 12.2 megapixel digital camera and is the first camera in GE's X Series for 2009. The camera features 12x optical zoom and 4.5x digital zoom and comes with a 116MB of internal memory with SD/SDHC expandibility up to 8GB. It is designed with a 2.7" LCD screen that automatically adjusts it's brightness based on the lighting conditions. The X3 includes optical image stabilization compared to the standard digital image stabilization in most of GE's cameras and has red-eye removal and smile, blink, and face detection technology. It records video in MPEG4 format with audio and also has a pan-capture panorama feature for taking wide-angled shots without the need of in-camera stitching. The camera is available in a black finish and is expected to be released in April 2009.
