The Giant Rapid 0 is an affordable mountain/racing bicycle designed for the budget-conscious rider. As the top model in the Giant Rapid series, the Rapid 0 builds from its predecessor’s with a smooth-shifting Shimano 105, 10-speed drivetrain. The Shimano 105 is designed from the same engineering specs as the Dura-Ace and Ultegra, yet maintains a distinct identity while still offering the user a superior design with improved performance. Like its peers, the Rapid 0 also sports a high-quality ALUXX SL aluminum tubing. The ALUXX SL tubing is formed from raw materials and features 30% additional stiffness over traditional 6061 series aluminum, allowing engineers to use less materials throughout the tubes, which in return results in a lighter frame that doesn't sacrifice strength or durability. Note also the strength (extrusion), weight reduction (butting), and shape (forming).
