The Cons:RAM compatibility is highly specific and requires research prior to installation. Somewhat of an awkward size, slightly bigger than micro ATX format but small for ATX. BIOS requires updating out-of-box.

The Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3LR is an ATX sized motherboard built to support Intel LGA 775 CPUs. This motherboard is designed for all-purpose use, and isn't specifically aimed at any one market. Older Intel processors are supported, and a single x16 speed PCI-E slot is complimented by 4 more PCI-E x1 slots.

This makes it possible to use a wide variety of add-on cards, but prevents the use of advanced graphics processing features such as ATI CrossFireX. High definition audio support is built in, and both optical and coaxial S/PDIF connectors are made available to work with a variety of home audio systems. There are also connectors for 6 SATA drives, and support is built in for a variety of RAID configurations.
