Gizmo5 (formerly known as Gizmo Project) users to communicate with other Gizmo5 users or landlines/cellphones over the Internet.  Unlike Skype, Gizmo uses SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) which makes it compatible with other SIP-based software and hardware.

A java-based version is also available for mobile phones.

Terrible customer service. I could not make calls due to a SDP is Null error, and they refused to refund me my $10. The replies from their support team were curt and showed a blatant disregard for their customers. Skypes is 1000 times better.
