The GW4 Linux Phone is a touch-screen mobile device with both GSM and WiFi capabilities ("Dual Net") made by Wistron NeWeb Corp. out of Taiwan. The GW4 runs on a Linux-based platform, and is rumored to be the first mobile device to run Google's Android platform sometime in 2008 as early as March. The company has said that they will offer an Android upgrade as soon as this product becomes available to consumers. It has a 2.5" QVGA TFT-LCD displa and a QWERTY keyboard. The out-of-the-box software includes a mobile version of Linux with may applications including a Web Browser, email, MS Office, and a PDF reader. The price should be somewhere around $300-$400 when released.
