Is it truly the end of bad hair days?

The Beautiful Vending company is dedicated to ensuring the end of bad hair days.

REALLY??????

The company is the brainchild of Scottish entrepreneurs Neil McKay and Richard Starrett. But what does the company really do? They sell hair straightening machines. Except, now they've installed them in bathrooms as "vending machines." Which means, for about 1 pound, you can use the hair straightener on the vending machine for 90 seconds to straighten your hair. Convenient, eh? The straighteners are made of ceramic plates.

The first hair straightening machine was launched in Glasgow in 2005 and the company is now expanding internationally. They are trying to crack the US market after starting in places like Canada, South Africa, Spain, Holland, and Australia.

However, there are a few things to consider. Despite the warning signs on the vending machines that the ceramic plates could be very hot, there is a possible liability in that someone could get burned. Also, there is the issue of cleanliness. The plates obviously get shared with a bunch of other people, and goodness knows if someone's got something in their hair!

I'm not sure about this, I totally agree with you on the hygiene factor...I think I'll stick with a ponytail on bad hair days.

It seems like a convenience, but I agree definately gross. Plus the U.S. has sue-happy citizens that could potentially file lawsuits for injury.

Damn you! Saying the U.S. is sue-happy! I'm going to sue you for that!
