I'm Trevor 26 from Battle Creek Michigan. I'm a self proclaimed mac addict of 3 years. I do graphic design work for a certain cereal company located in Battle creek that is grrrreaat! I play soccer, love the blues, watch way too many movies, enjoy pretty much all sports (NASCAR need not apply) and will be moving into a house sometime in March. Between buying a house, and getting married in the past year, I've acquired a lot of crap, so that should give me a bunch of opportunities to review. I'll try to be as objective as i can. Take care!

I read your review of the the Sony Vaio JS all in one series and you stated that it could not display 1080p. 7 people agreed.

http://www.productwiki.com/sony-vaio-js-series/

> can't display full 1080p (the main reason for buying the enhanced Blu-ray model)

Was this a consistent problem?

Streaming video from the internet is a big issue with me. I know 1080p is not prevalent for streaming from the internet right now, but I want to be able to use the computer I buy for a while.

What is strange is the X45000HD graphics card that comes with the system is supposed to be handle 1080 according to the specifications.

If I upgrade to a better machine at E7400 (2.80GHz, 3MB L2 Cache) with NVIDIA® GeForce® 9300M GS GPU with Total Available Graphics Memory of 2030MG, do you think this will that solve the problem?

Let me know if you go for a Vizio. I'm really curious about the performance of these sets. From what I've researched, they provide a lot of value. One thing to look out for is the apparent "buzzing" noise on some of the earlier LCD models.

Nice to meet you, Trevor. I just noticed your updated profile. :)

Where'd you pahk the cah? Wicked fah. (My weak attempt at a BAAAston accent).

I've contemplated a Vizio as well in terms of a cheap large-flat-panel, but I haven't seen enough benefit of replacing my 30" Toshiba CRT HDTV. I still don't think plasmas and LCDs match the quality of the CRT, in general. The "thinness" is attractive though...

It was an amazing catch. I'm glad I don't have to hear the BAAAAAston fans for the next 30 years. I watched the first half at my inlaws and the second half at my dad's. It just happened to be a good comparison because of the size and model similarities. We watched it in HD at both places, but just switched a couple times between SD and HD to see the difference. The sony looked great, but I think the colors looked truer on my dad's regza than my father-in-law's Bravia. I own a smaller Regza (32" with an upconverting DVD player) that I love. I'm thinking about getting a small Vizio for the den, because they seem to be getting good recommendations. --Great website by the way. I've been looking for something like this for quite awhile. You've done a nice job with it.
