New pro/con: when light conditions are borderline, the ambient light sensor leads to constant dimming and brightening. there should be a larger delay, with the error being on the side of going bright.

New pro/con: as with most or all screens, it is difficult to set options with the little buttons (in this case static buttons), leds, and sparse on-screen icons. wouldn't it be great if screen settings could be set via a form driven by sw on the host computer?
