Herman Miller Embody

Designed, constructed and tested for superior ergonomics, the Herman Miller Embody chair series features a modernistic aesthetic and superior comfort. Geared towards professionals who spend a majority of their time in a seated position, the Embody design includes an open concept back spine system that conforms and gives support to users where they need it most, as well as advanced mechanics for smooth, responsive, and agile movement in all three dimentions. This type of high technology does not come at the cost of the environment however, with most of the most used chair components easily replaced and largely made up of recycled materials.

I finally ordered my Embody last week - anyone know why it wasn't available online until several months after the launch?! Anyway, $1600 is a lot for a chair, but when you work 12 to 15 hours per week you'll try anything for a healthy back :)

I went with the black fabric (boring, I know), and graphite base. Only a few sites are selling them, but I went with HermanMillerSeating.com - seemed like the most legit site. I'll let everyone know once I've had a chance to give it the tush test! :)
