The Hifonics Olympus OLM2412 is a dual ohm 12” subwoofer built from a fiber-glass infused FEA structured cone. The third subwoofer in the Olympus series, the OLM2412 is a large upgrade from the OLM1612 and a humongous upgrade from the weak powered HiFi, Titan, and Brutus series subwoofers. The OLM2412 offers a massive 4800w of peak power handling (versus 3200w from the OLM2412) and 2400w of nominal power handling (versus 2400w). In addition, the OLM2412 features the OLM1612’s 1” hi-excursion surround, double-laminated integrated spider tinsel-lead design, and push & insert wire terminals. The OLM2412, however, includes a multi-layer extreme-temp dual 2 ohm (versus 4 ohm) voice coil designed to handle extremely high power. The Hifonics Olympus OLM2412 is priced at $349.99, approximately $40 over the OLM1612.
