The Hitachi CinemaStar C5K500 is a 2.5 inch hard drive that is designed to save money on the power bill. It has an idle power of 1.3 watts and a read/write power of 1.4W, 20% lower than previous models. The hard drive operates with a speed of 5400 RPM and has four different capacities to choose from: 500GB, 320GB, 250GB, and 160GB. The Hitachi CinemaStar C5K500 is designed to be a high capacity digital video hard drive, ideal for survelliance storage or other video projects. It makes use of the included SmoothStream technology that increases the quality of the hard drive's streaming functionality.
