The Hitachi Deskstar E7K1000 is a 3.5" internal hard drive from Hitachi's mid-range Deskstar series and is an upgrade to the 7K1000.  The hard drive is designed to provide the high performance and power efficiency required for enterprise-class applications.  It includes Advanced Power Management and HIVERT technology that reduces its idling power up to 43% compared to previous generation drives.

The Deskstar E7K1000 is available in capacities of 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB and utilizes a 3Gb/s SATA interface.  It includes a 32MB cache buffer for fast data processing and offers numerous reliability features such as ECC and CRC protection and an internal thermal sensor.  It also has Rotational Vibration Safeguard technology to maintain high performance in multi-drive system.  The Deskstar E7K1000 comes with a 5 year limited warranty.
