If you head to http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord you can sign up to pledge to download Firefox 3 the day that it is released in order to help set a world record for the most number of downloads of any program withing 24 hours. If you give the Mozilla foundation your email, they will send you a notification the day it is released. In order for the download to count, you must fully download the FULL program (not the update). There are also Facebook and Myspace groups for the event as well as a twitter page for "mozillafirefox" that tracks which release Firefox is on.

C'mon Guinness, you have to give it to them. I've seen much less impressive first-time records make the books.
