Toshiba Slashing Prices of HD DVD Players

In the wake of news that many major DVD producers (Warner Bros, Sony, MGM, Fox, Disney, and Lionsgate) will be abandoning HD DVD for its high-definition disc rival, Blu-ray, Toshiba announced it was slashing prices of its HD DVD format players by up to 50 percent, effective immediately (Jan.14.2008).  Refer to this link for more on the story:
