What is a Product

This may seem like a trivial discussion, but products are a special item in the ProductWiki software system. Products are filed underneath a particular category which determines the properties that apply to the product. For example, when adding a book to the Books category, that new book has details such as author that don't exist for other categories.

Articles (reviews, etc), discussions, images and links can all be attached to products through the public tagging system.  When you browse to a particular product the attached items will show up, both in the Overview section, as well as in the individual tabs.
