Pleese Help me figure this out

I have everything ready to go while following the 30 min. guide to turn my xbox into xbox media center and i could not find the Datel Action Replay so instead best buy had this thing called Gamesaves (it is also a program for transfering files from pc-xbox and vice versa)  my only problem is i cant figure out how to get the "run Linux" to show up were the gamesaves are for mech assult so pleese give me some tips or help

Have you copied the gamesave to your Xbox Hard Drive as per step 5.3 in the guide?

i cant get it to show up on gameshark is it required i use action replay to transfer the files to the xbox?

Hey, none of us know much about Gameshark and how it works.  With Action Replay, you download the save from torrent sites which comes in as a zip file, you then import that zip file into Action Replay, which can take a while.  So that leads me to believe that Action Replay is doing some kind of processing on the file, which maye be the reason why the save doesn't work with Gameshark.

However, we can't say that until we know you're following the guide properly.  Are you certain that the save is stored on the gameshark memory card?  Do you then transfer the save from the memory card to your hard drive? This last one is a very crucial step as MechAssault will only read the game save if it's stored on the harddrive already.

If you've done those 2 things properly and the save still isn't showing up, you're gonna have to do some digging around to see what to do.  I'm sure you'll be able to get it working though, the only thing that matters is being able to get the save from your computer onto the Xbox harddrive, and that's what Gameshark can do.

dude ill tell ya i did the controler mod   cutting of the end of a controler and splicing on a usb ..  then downloaded the action replay software installed it  found the driver for it ( it came with the action replay software)  i had the same problem untill i went to the  mechassult  in the middle section of of the action replay screen and double clicked the mechassult   and then i saw  "run linux"and draged it over to the the mem card side  it only fit on one out of 3 memcards  then put it in the controler to the xbox went to gamesave manager on xbox dash   transfered the save   then poped the game in and bling there it was under profiles or something..   hit that and your in business ...:)  dont know if this helped any but if i were you i would use action replay  and if your cheap like me do the controler mod ..  if you really cant figure it out   .. if i was feeling generous i might send a mem card with the save on it to you but you would have to either send the memcard to me or send money to me and i can send you mine..  just the price of the mem card ..   if you still cant figure it out hit me up on yahoo..    how_justin@yahoo.com..     XBMC  is the best app ive ever seen so i like to see as many people with it as possible ...   good luck
