dialupinternetuser: The name says it all. However, within a month and a half, dialupinternetuser will no longer be a dial-up internet user, but a user of Sprint Mobile Broadband. Which means my username is no longer correct. So, I decided to do the fun thing and create a little "vote" and try to decide what my new username for the ProductWiki community should be? What do YOU think? I'm taking any suggestions, and if I really like the new name, I will also use it as my Gamertag on XLink Kai.

I have some possible suggestions for possible suggestions...
  • Something related to internet speed (highspeeduser, userformerlyknowasdialupinternetuser...)
  • Something related to what I talk about on the site (Microsoft, Apple, Video Game Industry, High Definition)
  • Something random someone came up with.
  • NEW: Something that either contains dialup or can be abreveated to duiu.
Post your ideas down below, and as some get put up, I'll edit this post to list them. Feel free to post more than one and re-post (Is that a word?, it's kind of like using Wikipedia as a verb, technology taking over the English langauge). If there is one I really, really like I'll pick it, and if it's between a few I will start a vote in a new discussion.

Thanks for your "help" in advance...

NOTE: I don't like Bush, what the heck Omar?

I actually, have come to know you as dialup or dialupinternetuser. I think it'll take some time to get adjusted, but I really do like the idea of voting on a new username.

Here are some names that pop to mind:

  • nolongerdialup
  • formerlydialup
  • thebroadbandit
  • nonameinternetuser
  • presidentschoice (maybe that's only a canadian reference)
  • leroyjenkins
That's tougher than it looks....

Let's hope it's not TOO long as it can mess up the site formatting. In some cases we've actually had to design around your current username!

Initial suggestions:

  • GWB Lover
  • Windows Lover
  • George Bush
  • BGates
  • GWB
  • GWB4Life
After thinking about it some more...
  • broadband4eva
  • broadbanduser
  • NoLongerStuckInTheStoneAgesUser
And some new thoughts...
  • xboxHacker
  • xbot
  • xbmcMaster

I think you should maintain some reference to your old name (at least in spirit) so I like formerlydialup and NoLongerStuckInTheStoneAgesUser but that one's way too long.

hahaha - I am amused - especially by "thebroadbandit"

If I were you I'd keep the name, its funnier to me if you aren't on dial-up - but I'm all for off-the-wall humour.

Maybe wasdialup or haddialup?

I like wasdialup. It's like wassup, but with dial in between. fkadiu (an acronym to keep it old school). But you probably want to keep it pronounceable. My vote goes for wasdialup. Oooor wassupdialup. no that's just lame. Obviously I'm not very good at this. I name all the characters in the books I write Omar, and derivatives off that (Omar1, Omar2).

wassupdialup is WAY better that wasdialup.

Like that annoying fad commercial: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZUPPP!
