i was disapointed with the gamecube because it offered very little compared to consoles. it had the worst graphics, no online, and few quality third pary titles (that i've played oR heard of anyway). I much prefer my PS2 and DS over the gamecube. The gamecube had some great games from nintendo though, like donkey kong jungle beat and super smash bros melee. i was very satisfied with the n64 (probrably because i was a little kid) because it had games like banjo tooie and super smash bros and mario kart. i will admit that i'm not going to buy the wii the first day it hits stores. i'm going to wait to see how people respond to it and if i really should spend my money ( or if i should buy destroy all humans 2 and guitar heroe 2 for my PS2, wow there's a lot of 2's in here). I like to research what i buy before i spend the big bucks. recently i heard of a game for the PS3 made by insonmniac, resitance:fall of man. I love ratchet and clank, plus i'm a big fan of FPS, so i might buy a PS3 if i can get enough money. and if i can be patient enough to save up while the wii and xbox360 sit there on the shelfs, within reach of my budget.

When or if i get the nintendo Wii, i promise to write an article about my thoughts on the system and the games i purchased for it. I will hope to purchase the Wii before the end of December. I will mention the controller, the games and how they use the controller, the graphics, and mabey the online ( sadly, i do not have a wireless internet connection). I will write the article about a week after i purchase it, so i have time to adapt to the controller and can full yexperience the games. Look forward to it if you wanna know the wii from a gamers prospective.

I don't play on picking up a Wii in the near future, so if you wrote something up detailing your experiences that would be fantastic. I'd love to hear how it works in somebody's home, and how your family takes to it, and what kind of games you guys end up enjoying the most.

I'll definetly be honest in writing the review. I planed to let my whole family try it (7 people including me) when i get it. I never thought of adding there reactions to it in the article, but now i will.

Omar, I agree with you about the gamecube. One of my favorite games for the gamecube is Animal Crossing. I enjoy how there are different series and sets, how you can take care of your community, and etc. Nintendo did a good job in designing this game for the gamecube. As for your doubts on the Wii, I disagree with you. The Wii is very different from the gamecube. I know you already know the features, and these features are way beyond the gamecube playing experience. The Wii has a motion-sensitive control, and the gamecube doesn't even have that. In Zelda, instead of pressing a button to swing the sword and use the shield, you can use the remote to swing the sword and can smash enemies with the shield with the nunchuk. Also, the Wii has better graphics than the gamecube, and with all these features, $250 is a very reasonable price. I can't say much about online gaming, as I haven't researched into that field yet. However, like Silence Omo 7, I have hopes for the Wii. The only thing that I'm disappointed about (even though I should have expected it) is that the controller has to have batteries in it to operate. This stinks because if you're playing a game and the batteries die, you won't be able to pause and could get killed. As for the Wii games, Redsteel does look cool, with its freeze shooting system, but I'm into more of fighting and sword fighting games. However, I do like to play good shooting games. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is of course going to be the best Zelda game so far, what with Link's transformations and all the different fighting features. However, as I stated above, I have high hopes for the Wii, and the games just look very awesome!

I have heard about the Destroy All Humans game for the PS2, and I would like your opinions on it. I would like to buy it, but I think the price is $40, and I want to use the money I've saved up to buy a Wii. I would also like to rent the game first I buy it (if i decide to). But could you share your thoughts on the game and tell me if it's worth the $40, or if I should just put it on my Christmas List.

Hey Chidori, thanks for joining the conversation. I totally agree with you about batteries in your controller, this same kind of thing happens with the 360 wireless controller, and it's precisely why I bought a wired one that I always use. Wireless is pretty cool, but it's great knowing that I can play for as long as I want without worrying about my controller failing in the middle of an online game of Street Fighter. It'll be nice if the Wii controllers have a dock and internal rechargeable battery, so you just put your controller on the dock when you're done using it so it's always charged.

As for Destroy All Humans I haven't played the game myself, so I can't give you a confident recommendation either way. However, from what I've read online it's a pretty cool game, it's fun to play, has a cool style and theme, but it's not super amazing best-of-breed. The big thing to remember is that the game came out over a year ago, so you really shouldn't have to pay more than $20 for it, and might be able to find it for even less. Just did a quick check on eBay, and the prices average around $10.

I really do hope the Wii controllers come with a rechargable battery pack. It really would stink to be fighting that boss battle you've been trying to get to for FOREVER and lose your progress because the controller decided there isn't enough juice in the batteries. As for destroy all humans, I would definetly recommend picking it up. As Omar stated, you can get the game for a cheap price, and the game if definetly fun. I have played it extensively myself, and somehow destroying all humans never gets too old. There are also some really funny bits in the game. It's a game that is fairly long and is enjoyable all the way through.
