Wow, this is my first contribution to the site if I remember correctly. Anyway, to kind of sum up and add some new info to what I had said, I think the wii will be awesome. 250$ is the final price, on the high end of what nintendo said, but still acceptable. The motion sensitive controller looks to be really fine tuned and polished. It will be interesting to see how it works in a place other than a crowded convention. The Wii's graphics will be 2 mabey 3 times the graphics on the gamecube. The controller better have a recharging dock, not just batteries. The Virtual Console looks to be really fun, offering support from multiple publishers. Nintendo stated they will try to add 10 new games to the service every month. The Wii channels will add something new to the console, making it appealing to everyone. The photo channel in particular looked really easy to operate, lots of polish. It's great that Nintendo is shipping the Wii with a copy of Wii sports, something to show off their new console. The controller is a little pricey, 60 bucks for the Wii mote and the nunchuck. About 20 bucks for the classic controller. Metroid has been delayed to 2007 (a sad announcement). Nintendo stated they will be remaking gamecube games on the Wii. Examples of this are Super Mario Strikers: Charged, Battalion Wars 2, and The Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess. At launch the only color available will be white. The DS will be able to connect to the Wii wirelessly. The Wii will store its memory on SD cards, and mabey USB cards (this has not been confirmed or denied). The Wii mote will alow you to store controll preferences or you Mii (avatar) directly to the Wii mote. The Wii mote has an internal speaker. The controller will have a rumble feature. Some Wii games will take advantage of the classic controller, not just the Wii Mote.
There is so much more than this, but I'm pretty sure i put down everything I find important.
