We, too, bought this unit and it worked fine the first few times we used it - we really liked the way it felt. Then on about the 8th use, it would turn on but none of the remote buttons would work. The only way to get it going was to unplug it then plug it back in. At that point it would go into "Demo" mode and then stop. Anyone know how to fix this? The return policy with HoMedics is a bit hokey.

That's exactaly why I'm on this site to see if I can figure out how to salvage the $100 + dollars I spent for this item. It worked great like the previous comment mentioned. I plugged in mine last night and it made a weird noise, the rollers won't move and the buttons on the remote won't work either. We bought ours in the summer of 2006. If you can get one that lasts a long time you've got a great deal but one that only works for a year... come on!!!
