Commented on Apple Mac OS X
April 17, 2009 at 8:05 pm
"I agree with gadgetcoma. I'd rather have a dedicated game console for games, personally. Gaming does not factor into how I choose my computing experience - stability, ease of use, reliabiliy, and all-around user-friendliness is what I count on. I use a Mac to make my living and I can't afford down-time, something more

"The Mac Mini was also designed & marketed with "switchers" (people switching from PC to Mac) and basic upgraders in mind, people who already own(ed) a computer and just want a new CPU, not all the attachments. In this way its a pretty good deal for getting a new Mac, if you figure the value of more

Commented on Apple Keyboard
April 17, 2009 at 7:09 pm
"I absolutely love this keyboard. At first I thought the shallow, flat keys would help me to lose my place on the keys but this wasn't a problem at all. The shallow profile of the keys takes much less effort to press and I find that I can type faster and with less strain than on more

Commented on Foxtail Sport
April 16, 2009 at 10:59 pm
"I have owned one of these for 15 years (the same one - they really are durable) and it is still one of my favorite outdoor toys, tied with my Aerobie. Whipping the Foxtail around by its tail to throw it is a lot of fun and is more interesting than the simple pitch of a more

Commented on Nintendo DSi
April 16, 2009 at 10:32 pm
"I've yet to spend much time with a DSi. The large screen and music functions are a big appeal to me but I don't have any use for a camera (especially one of such low quality) and my DS Lite is already *too* small for my hands for some games (MarioKart DS - I get cramps more

I am a life-long Alaskan who is half-outdoorswoman, half-geek and proud of it. I work as a graphic designer and digital illustrator. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, camping, trail biking, Geocaching, watching anime, playing boardgames and Wii, and playing accoustic guitar and the accordion.

I tend to prefer items in the sci-fi/fantasy and foreign genres, post-apocalyptic and steampunk realms, darkwave and gothic metal music. Though these are my favorites, my tastes range far; I appreciate unique and well implemented elements to any creation. :)

Hey howlsthunder,

We'd like to make you a moderator and give you some more power. I'll look into the details and make sure it gets done tomorrow if it hasn't been already. Don't feel pressured to do anything you don't want, though! You're a great contributor who keeps coming back for more, and this is just our way of letting you know we appreciate it.

P.S. if only 1 or 2 people vote on a redundant point it shouldn't effect the overall score of the product. Some people might really love having a pet robot, who knows? We like to think most people can see a point is redundant and either leave it alone or vote it down. In my experience I only delete points I find abusive, wrong or just plain silly, like 'I love it' / 'these cons aren't important to me' etc... You might annoy somebody by deleting a perfectly valid one - even if you might think it's redundant. I also sometimes change points - to add more depth / different related details.

Anyway! Feel free to e-mail/gtalk/PM me here and I can walk you through some of the mod tools if you don't find them very intuitive.

That's great to hear. From what I've seen, people who have a pair of Vibrams love them. Not everyone can pull it off, though. :) Do you run with them as well?

Wow! Great work. I've promoted a couple of your reports to the front page. Moderators pick reports to get featured in the "New Reports" and "Report of the Day" section fairly regularly.

I still think those Vibram shoes are strange :)
