HP Deskjet D4360

The Deskjet D4360 is an inexpensive general purpose inkjet printer from HP. Primarily designed for light home/home office use due to its rather small ink cartridges, the D4360 allows you to print only a basic variety of paper sizes, including some photographs. Faster than all lower models, the Deskjet D4360 strikes a balance between speed and cost. The only difference between the Deskjet D4360 and the D4260 besides their visual appearance is that the D4360 is Energy Star certified, meaning it will use less electricity in sleep/idle mode than the D4260.

We owned our 1st HP Deskjeet D4360 for one month in which we used 4 color cartridges and 2/3 of a black cartridge, printing only e-mails and web pages that were primarily black print only. After several conversations with HP, who felt that the printer may be calling on the color cartridge to print black, that sent me a new printer. We have had it for 2 days and have already used 1/3 of the color cartridge for the same kind of printing. The black has only used about 10%. It appears that we have the same problem. After going through $80.00 worth of color cartridges for a printer that cost $69.00 in only a month, having to take the 1st printer to a Fed Ex location to ship it back, I am truly frustrated. We purchased this printer as an extra to use in a small bedroom. It's size is perfect for our intent, but we are very unhappy with the results.
