HP Pavilion dv7t Series

The Pavilion dv7t is a series of 17" notebook computers from Hewlett Packard.  Processors available are Intel Core 2 Duo dual-core chips with speed ranging from 2 to 2.8 GHz.  The standard display is 17.3" with a resolution of 1600x900 px.  The standard graphics adapter is an ATI Radeon 4530 with 512MB dedicated memory, with an available upgrade to an ATI Radeon 4650 with 1GB of dedicated memory. Other display options available are a webcam and a fingerprint reader.  Wi-Fi networking is included, using the Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN networking system, and Bluetooth support is optional.  The optical drive is a SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support, with Lightscribe and Blu-Ray ROM options available as well.  The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium (32 or 64-bit) and upgrades to Vista Business and Vista Ultimate are available.  The standard battery is an 8-cell LiOn.  The weight on the average configuration of the dv7t series is 7.64 lbs.

Details

The device was silently upgraded in February 2009. The earlier iteration contained a slightly smaller 17" screen with lower resolution. It also hosted NVIDIA graphics - specifically the 9200M with 256MB or the 9600M with 512MB of dedicated VRAM. It originally cost $1217.99.
